Israeli wave energy company, Eco Wave Power (EWP), has started 2016 on a positive note with the completion of construction at its first commercial scale power 

Eco Wave Power’s mission is to assist in the fight against climate change by enabling commercial power production from sea and ocean waves. EWP is recognized as a “Pioneering Technology” by Israel’s Ministry of Energy and was labelled as an “Efficient Solution” by the Solar Impulse Foundation.

The major Swedish shareholders in EWPG Holding AB are AP4 and Skandia Fonder. The Eco Wave Power share (EWP, EWPG) is traded on Nasdaq First North Growth Market. In 2011, Eco Wave Power had that legacy of negative connotations to scrub off. Wave power was expensive, inefficient and vulnerable to breakdown. Braverman’s modular system of buoys had to be Eco Wave Power had less than €100,000 in cash and investments at the end of the first quarter. The company has no revenue or profits yet.
